There is like a little forest between the main campus and the dorms for exchange students. They have this huge amphitheater that is so pretty and they hold performances there so it's like it's own little concert stage. Orientation was pretty good the first two days, however it got pretty bad when it came to the campus tours. My tour guide didn't know where she was going and all the tour guides didn't tell us what any of the buildings were. I mean, I know that their English is not that good, but they could have at least told us what the building are :(
Although there was orientation going on, I was not focused on that at all because we as exchange students have to get so many things done before school starts. I have to get a bank account, make sure my medical report was in, get my alien registration done, set up printing account at school, pick classes, email professors to approve classes, getting my internet to work, buying converters, buying a prepaid phone, and linking bank accounts to my student ID. I was already stressed out by these small things and school hasn't even started!!!
Ad for my roommate, I didn't get to see her at all. She just came when I wasn't there and took her stuff and left. Therefore, I now have the room to myself ^_^ Which I don't mind.
I was surprised to find that in my dorm, SK Global House, boys are all on one floor and girls are all on one floor. If a guy goes to a girls floor, he will get in trouble and vice versa. They can even get kicked out of the dorms. Another thing, and probably the most important thing, is that they DRINK here. I mean like really drink. They promote it and all that stuff :( I have a feeling this is not going to be good for me at all. I will HATE this part of Korean culture.
I also was able to take the subway and the bus. It was really cool and interesting ^_^ As for friends??? I haven't really made any friends because I just feel like I don't want any friends right now. I don't feel like socializing so I have been super quiet lately lol I wonder how many friends I will be able to even make...
